Photography Issues On Location and How I Fix Them
I can safely say that after shooting seniors for 10+ years, I have seen everything! Iβm prepared for a lot of different situations that come up and bring a lot of supplies on the day of to ensure the day goes off without a hitch. Here are a few examples of issues that may come up at a senior photo session and how I handle them!
1. Shadows on your face.
My number one goal is to give my seniors glowing skin. That is accomplished by using a reflector. Reflectors make images POP!
2. Nowhere to change on location
Many of the locations we go to are outside and there are no public restrooms nearby. One option is changing in your car but that can be uncomfortable (and revealing if your Mom is driving down the highway!). My solution is bringing a pop-up changing tent that can be setup anywhere.
3. Summerβs are HOT in Kansas.
There is no getting around the fact that a Summer senior photo session will be hot! There are several things that I do to help make it comfortable including bringing portable fans and a cooler full of cold water bottles. I also encourage my seniors to stay in the A/C until we are setup. We may also hit up one indoor location to take a break from the heat.
